Custom RFID Solution for Energy Management
A compact UHF RFID BAP tag for power management has been developed as a custom solution for power distribution systems and solar energy network infrastructures. The image shows an example solar distribution panel network.
Basic Operating Principle:
The block monitors the operation of the solar and public grids. They operate on a „Primary–Secondary“ principle independently and are galvanically isolated from each other. No power is transferred to the public grid, and the system’s design inherently prevents any feedback into it.
The solar grid receives signals from the control unit via an optoelectronic path with dual fusing/protection. At the moment of switching to the solar circuit, the PLC controller continues operating in the same mode and processes commands from sensors on the public grid, which it then sends to the galvanically isolated solar circuit. Only the terminal power components are disconnected from the public grid, switched over to a galvanically isolated circuit, and powered from the solar circuit. The UHF RFID BAP tag with power output grants authorized personnel access to the control block in „Manager–Agent“ or „Peer-to-Peer“ mode and activates cybersecurity.

UHF RFID Pogo Tag
Based on customer requirements, we have developed a compact UHF RFID Pogo tag suitable for applications with security requirements and reliable operation in demanding environments or for monitoring inventory handling.
The tag is ideally suited for security applications where it is necessary to monitor the same operation or status repeatedly. Identification is enabled only when the pogo switch is in the ON position, providing an additional layer of operational control.
The tag offers a wide range of security applications and also enables remote control functionality.
